At Pliler International, we pride ourselves on being a family-oriented company with deep roots in East Texas, Western Louisiana, and the trucking community as a whole. This year, we have the privilege of celebrating a monumental milestone: Ted Myers’ 50th work anniversary.
Ted’s journey with Pliler began back in 1974, when our dealership first opened its doors. The world was a different place back then—gas was 55 cents a gallon, the world was jamming to Elton John and trucking technology certainly looked a bit different, but one constant has been Ted’s unwavering dedication to the company.
From 1974 to present day: Ted's Incredible journey
Over the years, Ted has worn many hats. He’s helped countless customers and guided new generations of employees. His wealth of knowledge has been a cornerstone of our operations, and he has played a key role in ensuring that our team remains strong and equipped for the future. Ted’s work ethic and experience have not only shaped the business but also inspired others, including his daughter Carrie, who has followed in his footsteps and has now been with Pliler for nearly 25 years herself.
Ted’s impact goes beyond his technical expertise—he has made countless friends, forged lasting relationships with coworkers, and created memories that will stay with him and us for years to come. His infectious spirit and wealth of stories from decades of hard work have truly made him an integral part of our Pliler family.
To honor Ted’s incredible 50-year journey, we recently gathered as a team for a nice lunch, where we took the opportunity to celebrate his career. As a token of our appreciation, we presented Ted with a commemorative plaque and a custom-branded cooler featuring the International logo from the year he began his adventure with us back in 1974. It was a special moment that brought the team together, as we reflected on Ted’s contribution and what his service has meant to us all.
CONGRATS TED!
